Welcome to ~~~Life As a Wave~~~,

If you have found yourself here, we hope you will stay and peruse our site. It is a work in progress, but aren’t we all!? With everything going on in the world and changes happening so quickly, we wanted to get this up and running as soon as we could.

We are a group of people who want to write about what has inspired us…what continues to inspire us. We want to capture the progression that takes place as we navigate this world with a clear intention to focus on the good, worthy, higher things.  To learn more, visit our Mission Statement page. To add to this mission statement, we would like to provide an explanation of our title.  I once had someone illustrate the theory of interconnectedness to me with the metaphor of the individual waves that compose the ocean. It went something like this: we are all an individual wave—unique and purposeful—but we are also, simultaneously, the ocean. We are inseparable from each other. We impact each other, crash into each other, carry each other and form each other. Thus, you will find here the narratives of waves—individuals who are flowing and moving on their own while remaining always connected to the larger power that joins it to every other drop in the ocean. If this metaphor resonates with you, please share that connection with us.

While you’re here, you can find newstories that grabbed our attention at Have You Heard. Check out Said and Done if you want a daily dose of positivity through the words and stories of inspirational individuals. Our page titled, We Think, Therefore We Art displays some of our own artwork in different forms.  Other categories highlight our individual interests and/or stories. One of our favorite aspects of this blog is our community of authors. Right now we are small…but our three authors are passionate about their subjects. On that note, our greatest hope is that YOU will share your story with us. Whether as a comment or a request to join our writing team…please, tell us about your life as a wave.
